Mission Mode (Magical Battle Arena)

Mission mode provides 33 challenges where the player must achieve set goals. At first only the first mission is available, as players must complete each mission to make the next one available. If a mission is failed several times in a row then retrying directly will make the goal easier to achieve (such as lowering the number of times to use a certain attack). However, the best score will not be recorded and a low rank is guarenteed. Retrying from the mission select screen does not incur a difficulty drop.

Completing a mission earns the player a ranking ranging from S (best) through A, B, C and ending in D (worst). All missions are subject to time limits. Missions that require you to hit a specific number (eg use an attack x times) must be done before time is up. Other goal types, such as survive or score as many as possible, only end when time runs out.

Enemies are 10 Gadget Drones, all focused on you.
02 As Kikara, defeat Sarara. 200 seconds
Enemy is Sarara.
03 As Fate, defeat as many Nanohas as possible. 120 seconds
Enemies are infinite Nanohas. Only 2 are on the field at any time, but defeated Nanohas are replaced swiftly. These Nanohas seem to take a lot of damge (Fate's ultimate can potentially wipe one out in one shot from a direct hit).
04 As Gadget Drone, successfully use the S+A attack 5 times in total on Nanoha and Fate. 100 seconds
Enemies are Nanoha and Fate. Each S+A attack must be completed without interruption to count, including right up to where the player regains full control.
05 As Sakura, destroy 10 bombs . 60 seconds
No enemies, but the field is littered with bombs. Any bomb destruction counts, although red ones take less damage to blow up. Sakura can't lock onto anything but pressing the change target key will center the camera behind her.
06 As Kikara, successfully use her S+X counter skill. 80 seconds
Enemy is Kirara. You only need to successfuly counter once but more will increase the rank gained.
07 As Sarara, destroy 10 bombs. 100 seconds
No enemies, but the field is littered with bombs. Any bomb destruction counts, although red ones take less damage to blow up. Sarara can't lock onto anything but pressing the change target key will center the camera behind her.
08 As Fate, defeat Gadget Drone. 200 seconds
Enemy is Gadget Drone, whose is constantly in burst mode.
09 As Nanoha, bounce a projectile back and forth as much as possible. 60 seconds
Enemy is Nanoha, who will constantly use her S+X skill. You must fire a projectile and then use S+X to bounce the shot back and forth. You will have to move back before starting, as you don't have enough time for your S+X move to finish and recharge from your starting point.
10 As Hayate, survive until time runs out. 100 seconds
Enemies are 5 Hayates that will only cast her S+A spell at regular intervals. Defeating the Hayates is not needed. Rank is determined by the number of health bars you have in reserve when time runs out.
11 As Ruru, defeat Nowel. 200 seconds
Enemy is Nowel, whose burst gauge is always full.
12 As Sakura, survive the stage. 100 seconds
Enemies are 4 Sakuras, whose burst gauges are always full and will repeatedly use their first ultimates. The field also has bombs scattered around. Defeating the Sakuras is not needed. The best option is to wait by the floor and start dashing just before the attack happens. Break off the lockon too. When it stops recharge stamina and get ready to repeat.
13 As Kirara, destroy 20 bombs. 100 seconds
No enemies, but the field is littered with bombs. Any bomb destruction counts, although red ones take less damage to blow up. Kirara can't lock onto anything but pressing the change target key will center the camera behind her.
14 As Ruru, successfully use her S+X skill. 80 seconds
Enemy is Ruru. You only need to successfuly counter once but more will increase the rank gained.
15 As Hayate, survive the stage. 80 seconds

Enemies are Nanoha and Fate. Sakura's burst gauge is always full and she starts with no health bars in reserve. Successfully using her 2nd ultimate on Nanoha and Fate will knock them out completely regardless of their health. Sakura's only useable attack is her 2nd ultimate.
18 As Sarara, defeat Kirara. 200 seconds
Enemy is Kirara, whose burst gauge is always full.
19 As Nowel, defeat Ruru. 200 seconds
Enemy is Ruru, whose burst gauge is always full.
20 As Vita, defeat Gadget Drones and protect Hayate. 100 seconds
Enemies are 3 Gadget Drones. 1 Hayate is your team mate. Mission is failed if Hayate is defeated. Rank is determined by Hayate's remaining health.
21 As Hayate, defeat Nanoha and Fate. 200 seconds
Enemies are Nanoha and Fate. Vita is a team mate here, although her survival is not neccesary for victory.
22 As Fate, defeat all 4 enemies. 60 seconds
Enemies are Nanoha, Sakura, Kirara and Sarara. Everyone is always in burst mode. The enemies do nothing but dash around the arena. Enemy defences are extrememly weak and are easily defeated with a simple melee combo. Fate's only useable attack is her uncharged meleee attack and she is already in sonic form.
23 As Vita, hit as many Gadget Drones as possible. 60 seconds
Enemies are many Gadget Drones, who are in the sand below and will appear and hide at set intervals. Hitting a drone with any attack counts, although Vita's only useable attacks are her normal melee and ranged attacks.
24 As Kirara, use her S+X skill 5 times 100 seconds
Enemies are 3 Nanohas, who will use their S+Z beam skill at set intervals. Kirara must block attacks with S+X and successfully counterattack for this to count. It seems only charged S+X will be effective here.
25 As Nowel, defeat 10 Gadget Drones. 200 seconds
Enemies are 10 Gadget Drones, although you only fight 3 at a time. More drones come in as old ones are defeated, with 10 total.
26 As Gadget Drone, be the last one still alive. 200 seconds
Enemies are 30 Gadget Drones, all on the field at the same time. This is a free for all battle. You don't have to personally defeat all the other Gadget Drones but merely be the only one left alive once all the others are defeated. Enemy burst gauges are always full.
27 As Vita, destroy the bomb. 60 seconds
No real enemies, but there is one large grey bomb on the field that must be destroyed.
28 As Nowel, use her S+X special on Nanoha, Fate and Hayate. 100 seconds
Enemies are Nanoha, Fate and Hayate. Nowel's only usable attack is her S+X skill. Successfully hitting an opponent with this skill will remove them from the battle.
29 As Nanoha, survive until time runs out. 50 seconds
Enemies are 3 Nanohas (StS versions), who all have constantly full burst gauges. Although they will use normal combat methods as well, they will trigger their 1st ultimates often.
30 As Nanoha (StS), defeat Nanoha using your ultimate. 50 seconds
Enemy is Nanoha. Both characters always have full burst gauges. Player starts with no health bars in reserve and the only usable attack is her 2nd ultimate. Note that if you successfully trap Nanoha with your 2nd ultimate but time runs out before the full attack animation finishes then you still fail.
31 As Lina, defeat 10 Nagas. 200 seconds
Enemies are 10 Nagas.
32 As Naga, survive until time runs out. 100 seconds
Enemies are 4 Linas, whose burst gauges are always full and will constantly use their 1st ultimates. Defeating the Linas is not necessary.
33 As Kukuri, defeat as many Gadget Drones as possible. 100 seconds
Enemies are infinite Gadget Drones. Kukiri's only usable attack is her S+Z attack. Kukuri cannot reflect guard or enter burst mode. All Gadget Drones only take 1 hit to kill and can kill each other, although only kills you personally caused count towards your point total.
