[edit] Introduction

Mishio Amano is a supporting girl from the visual novel Kanon. She has a somewhat cold attitude and rarely interacts with anyone. It appears she knows something about Makoto though, but avoids the subject when she can. Something in her past ties her to the events of the present though.

In EFZ, Mishio is a close range fighter with excellent range thanks to her spear. She powers up using either fire or lightning elements, and certain attacks are only possible when using one of those elements. Her final memory gives her dual element power, granting access to almost her entire movelist at once.

The element is shown onscreen when active. Red for fire, blue for lightning and golden for dual.

[edit] Basic Weak Attacks

A (also from dash)

Thrusts the spear at a downward angle. Hits low but is very slow. If you're too close when performing out of a dash then it will miss.

A (crouching)

A swift punch that attacks quickly. This is more in line with normal A attacks.

A (midair)

Like her A, a downward diagonal thrust. This is faster so works well as an aerial approach move.

B (close)

An overhead swing of the spear. Good range and priority.

B (far)(also from dash)

A direct thrust straight ahead. Very good range.

B (crouching)

A quick swing of her spear.

B (midair)

A thrust of her spear straight ahead. More for knocking down aerial targets than approaching grounded ones

6B Lightning/Dual Element

Mishio hops forward and stabs with her spear. It has more range than her far B and given her usualy slow speed this can surprise opponents.

[edit] Basic Strong Attacks

C (also from dash)

Pushes upward with her spear. If performing from a dash this will knock the opponent airbourne and can be jump cancelled for aerial followups.

C (crouching)

Swings low with her spear, knocking the opponent to the ground.

C (midair)

A wide downward swing with her spear. Has all the benefits of both her A and B aerials, though it also slams the opponent into the ground. Useful as the end of an aerial combo.

6C Fire/Dual Element

A quick upward swing with her spear that knocks the opponent skyward and can be jump cancelled. It's basically a faster variant of her dashing C but has less range and requires the fire element.

6C (close, ground)

Mishio grabs the opponent and pulls them to her other side. A rare throw that inflicts no damage.

6C (close, air)

Grabs the opponent, holds them below her with her spear pointing at them and then crashes into the ground. Mishio will always end up on the opposite side from where she was.

44 or 66 (ground)

Forward dash covers 2/5 screen. Back dash is a hop that covers 1/3 screen. Her ground dashes are quite slow though.

44 or 66 (midair)

Both air dashes cover about 2/3 screen. These are better for quick getaways

[edit] Special Attacks

623 + A,B or C No/Dual Element

Mishio swings her spear to inflict damage. If the attack hits (even if it is blocked) then Mishio will gain an element if she has none (the element gained appears random between fire and lightning). Note that this is her only regular special that she can use with no element.

A version

Delivers one swift blow that throws the enemy away. Fire element lifts the opponent slightly and keeps them close. Lightning element lifts the opponent more and throws them a bit further than fire.

B version

Delivers one swift blow that throws the enemy away. Fire element slams the opponent into the ground. Lightning element lifts the opponent more while dropping multiple bolts and throws them a bit further than fire.

C version

Delivers a two hit combo with the second hit flinging the opponent away. Both fire and lightning will slam the opponent into the ground with the second strike. Uses RF energy.

236 + A,B or C Fire/Dual Element

A version

Delivers a barrage of spear thrusts straight ahead.

B version

Performs a quick shoulder charge. If this hits then she follows up with a spear thrust barrage.

C version

Performs a quick shoulder charge. If this hits then she follows up with a spear thrust barrage. Uses RF energy.

214 + A,B or C Fire/Dual Element

A version

On the ground flies diagonally forward-up thrusting her spear engulfed in flames. In the air she flies straight forward in a fiery thrust.

B version

On the ground flies straight up thrusting her spear engulfed in flames. In the air she flies diagonally forward-down in a fiery thrust.

C version

On the ground flies diagonally back-up thrusting her spear engulfed in flames. In the air she flies straight down in a fiery thrust.

623 + A,B or C Fire Element

Mishio swings her spear to inflict damage and will revert to no element regardless of whether it hits or not.

A version

Lifts the opponent slightly and only knocks them a very short distance away.

B version

Slams the opponent into the ground.

C version

Delivers a two hit combo with the second hit slamming the opponent into the ground with the second strike. Uses RF energy.

412 + A,B or C Lightning/Dual Element

A version

Points her spear at the opponent, then strikes the ground causing a tall shockwave to travel across the stage. Hits once and travels reasonable swift.

B version

Points her spear at the opponent, then strikes the ground causing a tall shockwave to travel across the stage. Hits multiple times but is slower. Reverts to no element.

C version

Points her spear at the opponent, then summons a large lightning ball that travels slowly across the stage. Weaker than the B shockwave but its speed helps you to mix in some close range combos at the same time. Uses RF energy. Reverts to no element.

22 + A or B Lightning/Dual Element

A version

Causes a lightning bolt to strike about 1/2 a screen away. Reverts to no element.

B version

Causes a lightning bolt to strike a full screen away. Reverts to no element.

623 + A,B or C Lightning Element

Mishio swings her spear to inflict damage and will revert to no element regardless of whether it hits or not.

A version

Lifts the opponent while striking with a bolt and throws them a bit further than fire.

B version

Lifts the opponent more than A while dropping multiple bolts and throws them a bit further than before.

C version

Delivers a two hit combo with the second hit slamming the opponent into the ground with the second strike. Uses RF energy.

236236 + A,B or C (Requires 1-3 bars of SP power) Fire/Dual Element

This is an upgrade of her normal special. Performs a quick shoulder charge. If this hits then she follows up with a spear thrust barrage. The higher level the attack the more hits and so more damage but will use up more SP bars. All three levels will revert to no element.

214214 + A,B or C (Requires 1-3 bars of SP power) Fire/Dual Element

This is an upgrade of her normal special. Mishio flies diagonally forward-up in a fiery thrust. The higher level the attack the more damage is caused but will use up more SP bars. This can be hard to hit with though and doesn't seem all that damaging. All three levels will revert to no element.

236236 + A,B or C (Requires 1-3 bars of SP power)(Aerial) Lightning/Dual Element

Mishio fires out lightning sparks down at a diagonal angle. The initial hit can cause damage and then sparks stay on the ground for a while, which can inflict more damage if the opponent touches them. The higher level the attack the more sparks are unleashed but will use up more SP bars. All three levels will revert to no element.

641236 + A,B or C (Requires 1-3 bars of SP power) Lightning/Dual Element

Mishio charges her spear with lightning and then fires it along the ground. Holding the button will charge for longer and increase damage, and a fully charged attack will be unblockable. The higher level the attack the more damage is caused but will use up more SP bars. All three levels will revert to no element.

B2BCA (Requires 3 SP bars and 1/3 health remaining)

Energy will explode around Mishio, causing some damage and she will be given the dual element, granting her access to almost her entire moveset. Once the time gauge runs out she will revert to no element even if she had one before using the attack.

Adjust to Elements

Practice with Mishio so you know which abilities are available to which element, as you can't really control which one triggers but those special moves are key to success.
